There is always something new to figure out when it comes to being a webmaster. For every new thing you learn a bunch of people will create something even newer for you to learn about. Information is fun and all but it is even more fun with a little prioritization, something everyone has been neglecting... until now.
It's time to stop aimlessly skimming articles to glean a few unsorted tidbits and start reading articles that are relevant to where you're at and that will take you to where you want to be.
So lets go! Are you a potential webmaster or an existing webmaster?
Webmastering is a term we are using to describe the act of being a webmaster. A webmaster is a person who is the master of a website and thus controls the initiation and development of the aforementioned website.
That being said, here are your priorities:
1. Most Important: Read
The Birth of a Webmaster. Don't worry, there aren't any pictures... ;-)
2. Fairly Important: Read
The Webmastering Necessities. Grow up to be a big, strong and handsome/beautiful webmaster.
3. A Little Less Important: Read
The Standard Bells & Whistles. Don't you want your website to sparkle and shine and make cool noises?
4. Still Somewhat Important: Read
Writing Well Written Websites. Learn how much of what to put where on your website.
5. Moderately Important: Read
The Circles Of Webmastering. Your guide to a healthy, happy, simple and successful ongoing life as a webmaster.
Stuck in overdrive tearing through overloads of information while tweaking your websites so fast they may vibrate apart into mini-twin sites? Never fear, prioritization is here!
So, does your website need
a success boost or is it doing fine but
draining too much time (yes, that did almost rhyme (and yes, that one actually did))?
